Wayne State starting quarterback Mickey Mohner looked over the defense Thursday on the practice field at North Alabama before barking out signals.
He read the defense, saw he was facing a Cover-2 with deep safeties and begged for the ball. He took the snap and faked a handoff, leaned low to hide the ball, then tossed a 25-yard completion to receiver Dominique Maybanks.
