DETROIT (WWJ) – Christmas holiday sales are sparkling in eyes of area retailers — and the rush will be on at Metro Detroit malls.

Many are wrapping up their shopping and some are just starting and no matter where you fall, the manager of Partridge Creek Mall, Steve Berlow, says they are ready for the scores of customers:

” … turned on our 30 foot fireplace – I made sure our electric charging stations are ready to go for anybody who has an electric vehicle can come and park free … and all our merchants our lights are going on, everybody is ready, everybody is excited,” said Berlow.

Berlow says they open at 10 a.m. and will stay open until 8 p.m. Berlow says the final week may make or break the holiday but merchants this year feel optimistic and there is still plenty of inventory.

“Certainly with the kids getting out of school and college students being out all of next week will be very, very busy, all leading up to Christmas Eve,” Berlow said.

Berlow says this should be a good week for retailer.
