Logicalis' Netarx Gets New Office In Okemos

Logicalis Inc., the Farmington Hills-based United States subsidiary of the international information and communications technology provider, said Wednesday that Netarx, an Auburn Hills-based company it acquired in July, had moved its Lansing office had moved to a new, updated location in Okemos.

In July, Logicalis acquired Netarx, an IT professional services firm offering managed services, data center, collaboration, and infrastructure design solutions through three Midwest locations – Auburn Hills and Lansing in Michigan and Columbus, Ohio, as well as an office in Phoenix, Ariz.

With the merger complete, Logicalis has moved the Lansing-area Netarx employees to a new location in Okemos, investing heavily in the new office's technology infrastructure.

This is the second new office Logicalis has opened in Michigan since 2010.

Logicalis has also invested heavily in a specially designed communications and collaboration meeting facility in the new Okemos location.

Logicalis' new Collaboration Room in the Okemos building has fully integrated digital technologies including high-definition videoconferencing, Smart Technology interactive whiteboards, ceiling-mounted microphones and speakers, digital switching technology, and a Crestron control system with multiple user-interface touch panels. Every aspect of the room -- including its size, lighting, acoustics, style of furniture and control programming -- was analyzed and designed to enhance the collaborative setting for meeting participants both in the room and in remote locations.

Logicalis' new office is at 2469 Woodlake Circle, Suite 100, in Okemos. There are 25 Logicalis employees working in the new location. While no new hires are initially planned, the facility was designed with room for future growth. Today, between its Farmington Hills, Auburn Hills and new Okemos locations, Logicalis employs more than 300 people in Michigan.

"Logicalis has long been a fixture in the Detroit area with its U.S. headquarters located in Farmington Hills and now with the newly acquired Netarx with its two Michigan locations in both Auburn Hills and Okemos," said Logicalis president and CEO Terry Flood. "It is the strength of our people that make Logicalis successful, and we believe that remaining in the same locale for the long term demonstrates our faith in our employees, our commitment to our local customers, and the steadfast way that we approach business in general."

Added Netarx COO Michael Souders: "This move really represents the full transformation of Netarx into a Logicalis company. We have a new location and a bright future as a fully integrated organization. The Okemos building gives us the opportunity to create a space that will work to the advantage of our employees as well as our customers, both local and remote."
