MITechNews.Com Partners With MiBiz On West Michigan Tech News

GRAND RAPIDS – A veteran Michigan tech journalist is back in print after more than a decade in online-only journalism.

Mike Brennan, who has owned and run MiTechNews.com since 2000, will take on the additional role of Senior Writer-Technology for MiBiz, which publishes twice-monthly business newspapers in Grand Rapids, Battle Creek, Kalamazoo and Muskegon, the latter of which covers the Lake Michigan shoreline counties.

MiBiz, purchased recently by Grand Rapids-based Revue Holding Co. Inc., also has an online version at www.MIBiz.com.

Brennan will cover West Michigan technology for MiBiz, including software, security, telecommunications, and other aspects of the region's tech business. MiBiz will also be sharing content from MiTechNews.com in both print and online editions of MiBiz.

Brennan, 59, has worked since 1980 as a technology and business reporter, including stints at newspapers in New York City, Silicon Valley, Seattle, Memphis and Detroit. He also co-founded and served as managing editor of Pacific Rim News Service, which developed a network of more than 100 journalists in 17 countries in the Asia-Pacific region.

He earned an associate's degree from Grand Rapids Community College, a bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan, a master's degree from the University of Missouri School of Journalism and was the 1992-93 Knight Fellow in economic journalism at the University of Michigan. Brennan has won numerous international, national, regional and local business reporting awards.
