Terry Foster: Suh Bows Out, No Hard Feelings

I am perfectly fine that Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh decided not to join us today for our weekly chat on the Valenti and Foster Show.

I’ve never been one of those who demand that an athlete talk to me. I like it when they do, but they don’t have to. Our interview with Suh last week was heated because we asked a lot of pointed questions about his suspension, whether he apologized to teammates and about the one car accident in Portland.

We wanted answers to the same questions the media asked earlier and that fans want to know.

well Terry i just read the story here and on your blog..although i understand that you and Valenti are in the radio journalism biz..but i for say its NO ONE business what Suh said or didnt say about the GreenBay incident..i HAD NO problem with what he did and if he doesnt want to give YOU the answer yoiu seek..who cares about all that all anyone should care is about FOOTBALL..thats what he gets paid to do PLAY.and the CAR accident is NO ONES business..he should not have been asked anything about that..i know Valenti doesnt care what we the listeners think or say ..once he gets something in his crawl there is no changing his opinion..soo im glad he dumped the show..

It’s “our” business to know what happened on the field because “our” money pays his paycheck! It’s our business to know what happened off the field because it could very well affect what happens on the field if he’s distracted, injured or just stressed out from all the attention. Those things factor into how he plays on the field and how he reacts to someone pestering him on the field. He’s a great player with tons of potential but that will be wasted if he keeps avoiding the media with pointed questions to his actions both on and off the field!

Who cares. If the man said he didn’t wand to talk about it you two should have just left it at that. Please stop it with the “gotcha” journalism. You are better than that Terry. Mike V?, not so much……
