Students To Sing National Anthem At Pizza Bowl

DETROIT (AP) — A choir featuring Detroit Public Schools students will perform the National Anthem before Tuesday’s kickoff of the Little Caesars Pizza Bowl at Ford Field.

The 150-voice Combined School Chorus is made up of singers from Mumford, Cody, Cass Tech, King and the Detroit School of Arts.

Members of Cass Tech’s state Division One championship football team also will be recognized Tuesday during a break in the game between Purdue and Western Michigan.

Detroit students with attendance rates of at least 95 percent from nine schools with the district’s overall highest attendance each received two tickets to the game.
