DETROIT (WWJ) – Detroit businessman Dan Gilbert is buying more buildings in downtown.
Bill Fantini at the Wall Street Journal reports on the recent acquistions:
Gilbert’s real estate investment group, called Rock Ventures, has now bought seven buildings in downtown Detroit along with three parking structures and one parking lot.
A statement says several more companies are expected to announce their move to downtown Detroit in the coming months and throughout 2012.
All were built between 1871 and 1917; the Wright-Kay brownstone, as well as the Lane Bryant and the Arts League of Michigan Building will offer retail, office and residential units after their renovation.
