Delta Flight Makes Unscheduled Overnight Stop

DETROIT (WWJ) - Delta Airlines telling WWJ that they hope to have Flight 903 in the air by noon Tuesday.

The Detroit-to-Fort Lauderdale flight made an unexpected stop last night in Knoxville, Tennessee after a warning light came on.

A Delta spokesman says passengers were put up in hotels for the night.

Aside from waiting for a replacement part to be shipped in from Atlanta, a new flight crew had to be called in to replace the one that had already maxed out its flying hours for the day.
