Michigan In Top Ten Ranking For Winter Farmer Markets
DETROIT (WWJ) - They are popular in the summer, but now for the first time, Michigan has made the top ten list for the number of WINTER farmer's markets held in the state.
Michigan ranks 10th nationally, with 33 winter markets -- a 58 percent increase from last year.
Farmers markets operating at least once between November and March, are considered winter farmers markets.
The list is put out annually by the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
