Video Shows Man In Wild Chase With Stolen Cop Car

JACKSON (WWJ/AP)- A man who stole a police car and led authorities on a wild chase in three Michigan counties has been arraigned on a variety of charges.

Authorities also released video Tuesday from that same patrol car, showing the high-speed ride on Interstate 94 and U.S. 23 last Friday. The video posted by the Jackson Citizen Patriot shows Ryan Cunningham wearing nothing but black underwear. Watch the video here.

The chase began on Interstate 94 in Jackson County, when 34-year-old Cunningham, who was in custody, moved from the rear seat of the Tahoe to the front and drove away from officers investigating drugs at a motel. The chase moved into Washtenaw County before the police SUV finally stopped in Monroe County, just north of the Ohio border, after a 75-mile ride.

The car belongs to Blackman-Leoni Township police in Jackson County.

Cunningham was arraigned on seven felonies, including two methamphetamine-related charges, three firearm charges, auto theft and fleeing a police officer.
