Finley Likely Won't Play Against Lions

GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) — Green Bay Packers tight end Jermichael Finley says he sat out Wednesday's practice after he woke up with his left knee bothering him.

Finley says his knee isn't a major concern, but seemed to agree it might be smart for him to sit out Sunday's regular-season finale against Detroit.

Finley says "of course" it would be smart to rest in a game that doesn't have playoff seeding implications for the Packers, but he's not "the head coach or the GM, so I'm going to leave that up to them."

Finley's absence came as a surprise to Packers coach Mike McCarthy, who says he didn't find out until just before practice.

Wide receiver Greg Jennings will miss his third straight game with a sprained left knee.
