Triple Car Crash Caused By Woman With BAC 3x Legal Limit

OCEOLA TWP. (WWJ) - Sheriff's Deputies in Livingston County say a 23-year-old Flint woman was three times the legal limit when she blew past a stop sign and caused a multi-vehicle accident.

Investigators say Bobbee Marshall was driving on Orchard Park Boulevard just south of M-59 in Oceola Township Wednesday around 7:45 p.m., when she disregarded a stop sign at Latson Road.

While crossing the intersection, Marshall's vehicle was hit by a truck driven by 52-year-old Michael Chaperon of Howell. Marshall's vehicle was then struck a second time by a car driven by 43-year-old Michell Padgett of Canton.

Marshall was airlifted by Survival Flight to the University of Michigan Hospital with life threatening injuries. Chaperon, Padgett and her two passengers were treated by medical personnel at the scene and released. Marshall's current condition was not immediately released.

Police say a preliminary toxicology report indicates that Marshall had been drinking and her blood alcohol level was nearly three times the legal limit.

An investigation is ongoing.
