LIVONIA (WWJ) – Livonia police are looking for a hit and run driver after an accident leaves an elderly man hospitalized.

Investigators say 81-year-old Jack Hoskins was hit while crossing Wayne Road, south of Plymouth, early New Year’s Day morning.

Police say he’s in stable but critical condition at Botsford Hospital.

Police say the car involved is believed to be a beige, early to mid-2000 model Taurus or Sable.

Anyone with information is being asked to contact Livonia police.
