Royal Oak Principal Put On Administrative Leave
ROYAL OAK (WWJ) - The new Royal Oak High School principal meets a handful of parents amid a police investigation involving the former principal.
WWJ's Stephanie Davis reports that a basketball game at the school was the bigger attraction Tuesday night - not the meet and greet with newly hired principal Jim Moll.
Moll has stepped in after the former principal, Michael Greening, was placed on paid leave following revelations of financial irregularities. Royal Oak Police are investigating and reportedly are looking at several years of accounting statements for the Student Activities Fund.
Greening, a popular administrator in the district, has been with Royal Oak schools about 15 years, he was placed on leave in mid-December.
