Romulus Man Died From Blows To The Head

ROMULUS (WWJ)– An autopsy shows a Romulus man who was found tied up in his home Saturday died of blows to the head.

Police say Frank Jones was found on his bathroom floor yesterday, lying in a pool of blood with a plastic bag over his head. He was discovered by his son, who had gone to check on him because he hadn’t heard from him in a few days.

Police in Canton spotted the yellow Ford Mustang convertible a WalMart parking lot around 2 a.m. Sunday -owned by Jones who was apparently murdered in his Romulus home.

Police say the 57-year-old man’s house had been ransacked and the car was missing.

Romulus investigators and forensic scientists from the Michigan State Police Northville Crime Laboratory are processing the crime scene on Springhill, according to a statement from police.
