NCMS Expands its Board of Directors: The National Center for Manufacturing Sciences in Ann Arbor Tuesdady announced five new board members. The NCMS board now includes  Dianne Chong of The Boeing Co., Doug Dinon of GE-Global Research, David Rich of Microsoft, Anne Tinker of Warner Music Group and Dawn White of Accio Energy. The newly elected directors bring to the NCMS Board diverse specialties and areas of expertise, including strategy, finance, human resources, business development and marketing. The largest manufacturing-focused consortium in North America, NCMS is the leader in implementing a U.S. knowledge infrastructure; bringing digital modeling and simulation tools to the over 300,000 small and medium sized companies in the U.S. who require access to them to be competitive. This board of directors will effectively help steer the NCMS in critical areas and represent the voice of industry and NCMS' over 300 members. The NCMS believes that smart manufacturing is the key to our nation's economic recovery, and that surrounding itself with knowledgeable people in this sphere is the key to accomplishing these goals.
