Syma Style: Brighten Up Your Black And White Outfit
Last month, I went to the Stephen Tulloch Foundation's Wine Tasting Charity event. It took place at Tre Monti in Troy.
Like many women do when they have somewhere to go... I stood in front of my closet desperately trying to figure out what to wear!
It was a dressy event, but not cocktail attire. So where did that leave me? I wanted to wear something that was "business" meets "happy hour." I put together a black blazer, black skirt with a white top. It looked nice, but it didn't have any pizazz!
That is when I took a lesson from my best friend's closet. My BFF Tia Conner always adds color to her outfits!
I started looking through what was in my accessory department, my storage room that has turned into a fashion haven! I found purple heels and a matching purse. In terms of earrings and necklaces, I have every color in the rainbow. It was easy to find jewelry that matched my shoes!
After putting it all together, BOOM! I got myself an outfit that is classy and colorful, despite the black and white domination!
So my Syma Style advice to you: try adding colorful accessories to outfits that are very traditional and classic. If you need help, you can always post questions here or on my Facebook page -- www.facebook.com/symanews
