Water Main Break Causes Partial Evacuation Of UM Medical Center

BREAKING NEWS - There's been a major watermain break at the University of Michigan Medical Center. Officials tells us the first three floors of the cancer center had to be evacuated.

A statement from the Medical Center says the problem has caused some impacts to patient care and telephone lines, but most patient care is continuing as normal.

The building will be closed for patient care Tuesday and Wednesday due to flooding in the lower levels and a lack of power in the building.

Patients scheduled for chemotherapy sessions in the main Cancer Center building on Wednesday are being contacted. Patients with appointments at the main Cancer Center building for Thursday and beyond will be contacted if any change will be made to their schedule or location.
