Online Tech Completes Additional Fiber Integration Of Data Centers

ANN ARBOR -- Online Tech announced that it has completed a new fiber optic build-out between its Ann Arbor and Mid-Michigan data centers.

The new fiber build also provides a higher speed connection between data centers and additional connectivity to four carriers including Savvis, Level 3, Global Crossing and Cogent.

All of Online Tech's data centers maintain all critical equipment in a fully redundant infrastructure. This additional fiber build adds another dimension by allowing Online Tech clients to choose between any carriers connected at each data center or select blended, high availability Internet connectivity delivered directly by Online Tech.

"Our goal is to be the leading carrier neutral data center operator in Michigan," said Mike Klein, Online Tech president & COO. "It's important for our clients to have the flexibility to choose their own Internet providers. The new fiber build-out gives our clients four additional Tier 1 Internet providers to choose from."

The four new carriers add to the growing list of Internet Service Providers at Online Tech's Michigan data centers including AT&T, Zayo Networks, CenturyLink and 123.net.

As the leading data center operator in Michigan, Online Tech plans to continue its connectivity and the number of data carriers available at each data center.

Through its high availability SAS 70 data centers, Online Tech delivers a range of hosting services including Michigan colocation, managed dedicated servers, private cloud hosting, and disaster recovery. Online Tech's Michigan data centers operate under SSAE 16 compliance, allowing its clients to meet all of their PCI compliant hosting, HIPAA compliant hosting, and SOX compliant hosting needs.
