Sara's Blog: Tim Tebow's Fire
Saturday night before the Broncos take on the Patriots, Tim Tebow has a new music option to get him fired up for the game. It is all courtesy of 80's one hit wonder, John Parr. His name might not ring a bell, but how can you forget his classic jam "St. Elmo's Fire (Man In Motion)"?
John Parr is a Broncos fan and a Tebow fan and changed up the lyrics to gems such as...
Gonna be a man in motion
All I need's my Broncos team
Take me where my future's lyin'
Tim Tebow's Fire
And...
I can climb the highest mountain
These Broncos can't be beat
I can feel St. Elmo's Fire burnin' in me
I guess Parr likes to stick with what works. The song was originally written for Richard Hansen, a wheelchair-bound Canadian athlete who gave inspirational speeches. It then rocketed up the charts once "St. Elmos Fire" hit theaters in 1985.
