Zeon Solutions, Grand River Merge

ANN ARBOR -- Two e-commerce and Web site development firms, Ann Arbor-based Grand River and Milwaukee-based Zeon Solutions, Wednesday announced their merger.

"Both organizations have complementary capabilities and deep e-commerce skill sets, so we see this as an outstanding opportunity to grow together," said Rupesh Agrawal, CEO of Zeon Solutions. "We are bringing together two multi-geographical and multi-talented teams that, when combined, are stronger than before. We are well positioned to make our clients even more successful with e-commerce, search optimization, content management solutions and mobile applications.

Zeon Solutions and The Grand River brands will maintain their unique identities in the marketplace. Both are fast-growing companies: Zeon is an Inc. 500 firm with 250 employees and a compound annual growth rate of 30 percent during the past three years; The Grand River has 35 employees and a compounded annual growth rate of 125 percent during the past three years.

"As Zeon Solutions and The Grand River got to know one another, it became clear both companies provided services that were complimentary," said Scott Robertson, Grand River CEO and co-founder. "There are tremendous similarities between our firms, including our shared passion for the e-commerce space, experience with some of the world's best brands, respect for employees, renowned work ethic and overall integrity."

Leaders at both firms said the purpose of the merger is not only to leverage operational efficiencies, but more importantly to create a world-class organization with the experience and depth to deliver interactive solutions that drive revenue and create customer loyalty. The combined firms have business-to-consumer and business-to-business experience in a wide range of vertical markets. Their greatest asset is a highly scalable strategic team with strong experience in e-commerce platforms, content management systems, software application development, creative and information design, user experience and usability, search engine marketing and optimization, analytics, social media solutions and more.

"We are excited for our existing clients to tap into the many new services and benefits Zeon brings to the table including search engine marketing, mobile application development and engineering depth. We are just as enthusiastic about sharing our expertise with Zeon's clients," said Steve Thallman, The Grand River COO and co-founder.

"We are fortunate to be a system integrator for the best-of-the-best technology platform partners," said Brad Martell, Zeon Solutions Senior Vice President and General Manager. "We are looking forward to continuing and expanding those relationships as a result of our merger."
