Terry Foster: Fan Apathy, Struggling Pistons Take Toll On Palace Attendance
Auburn Hills— Nate Norman of Ann Arbor walked through The Palace corridors as if he were seeing the building for the first time. He never noticed how wide the corridors were because they were usually packed with people when he saw the Ben Wallace and Chauncey Billups-led Pistons that made six straight Eastern Conference finals and two NBA Finals.
But on a night when the Pistons were playing host to the defending NBA champion Dallas Mavericks he got a new glimpse of The Palace because there were so few people walking to their seats.
