GalaxE Solutions CEO Introduces President at 'Insourcing American Jobs'

DETROIT -- GalaxE Solutions chairman and president Tim Bryan participated in last week's "Insourcing American Jobs" forum at the White House, at the invitation of President Barack Obama.

During the forum, Bryan spoke and introduced the president prior to Obama's remarks encouraging companies to insource and invest in America to help rebuild the economy.

In the "Insourcing American Jobs" forum the president, vice president, members of the cabinet and other senior administration officials met with GalaxE and other business leaders to discuss how they have brought jobs back to or made additional investments in the United States.

Other topics included why locating a business within the United States is a competitive advantage and ideas to motivate other companies to take similar steps to insource American jobs.

In addition to GalaxE, other corporate forum participants included: AGS, Chesapeake Bay Candle, DuPont, Ford Motor Co., Intel, Keen, Lincolnton Furniture, Master Lock, Novo 1, Otis Elevator Co., Rolls Royce, Siemens and ThyssenKrupp.

Bryan and GalaxE have come to the attention of the administration with its business model, "Outsource to Detroit," which positions Detroit as a viable alternative for creating the next-generation of high-level IT solutions predominantly onshore. In the forum, Bryan explained how onshoring in Detroit helps ensure cost, and importantly, quality benefits and innovation, while repatriating jobs to the United States.

Arriving in Campus Martius in April 2010, GalaxE is hiring 500 skilled IT workers in downtown Detroit. To date, more than 150 have been hired with immediate openings for 200 additional professionals -- well ahead of original estimates and a sign that the "Outsource to Detroit" model is successful and resonating with companies nationwide.

With more than 20 years of experience in the healthcare, retail, and financial industries, GalaxE facilitates the secure sharing of critical information across internal networks and over the Internet to improve client competitiveness, efficiency, and business results.

In addition to its corporate headquarters and primary delivery center in Somerset, N.J.,  GalaxE has additional offices and delivery centers in Detroit, New York City, Toronto, the United Kingdom and in Bangalore and Hyderabad, India.
