Kid Rock Blames Alcohol For Stogie Incident, Offers Middle Finger

One of Detroit's favorite sons allegedly broke the rules over the weekend, and a regular Joe wants to make sure he's not above the law.

Randy Snell, a downriver registered nurse, said he would file a complaint this week after an admittedly inebriated Kid Rock fired up a stogie during a Travis Tritt country music show at Andiamo Celebrity Showcase in Warren.

Snell, a 58-year-old asthmatic, wasn't amused. It's also against the law to smoke inside a bar or restaurant in Michigan.

Snell didn't confront Rock, but he complained loudly to celebrity website TMZ, where he promised to file a complaint with the Health Department.

Rock, a longtime Macomb County resident, explained away the situation in true rocker style.

He blamed it on the alcohol.

"I doubt I'm the first one to ever make a bad decision while being intoxicated so he without fault please cast the first stone," he said in a statement to the Detroit News.

He added, "My most sincere apologies to the patrons I may have offended, and a big middle finger in advance to all the haters and attorneys who will somehow try to find an easy paycheck in all this."

Staff at Andiamo Celebrity Showcase said Tuesday they had received no official complaints about the situation.
