Tigers outfielder Austin Jackson was hanging out at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit over the weekend as part of the annual Tigers Caravan. I had a chance to catch up with the center fielder and gather his reaction to Victor Martinez getting injured, his sub par sophomore season and what a certain Cuban free agent could mean to his team — if he’s picked up. Jackson also talked about the caravan and the chance to meet Tigers fans all around metro Detroit and the state of Michigan.

I believe we can expect great things from Austin Jackson. His fielding is fantastic! I have witnessed him catching balls that appeared long gone. He is young, and his hitting will improve with age. In time, I think he will become one of the best players Detroit has ever had. Go Jackson!
