CASCO TWP. (WWJ) – A 46-year-old St. Clair County man could face murder charges in the death of his 26-year-old girlfriend.

Sheriff’s department investigators say Carrie Neusius was found fatally shot Sunday morning at home in Casco Township, north of New Baltimore, where the couple lived together.

Deputies and Michigan State Police troopers found the boyfriend inside the home uninjured, but drunk.  He was taken to a local hospital before being moved into police custody.

The man is expected to appear in court sometime Thursday to be arraigned on the charges.  His name will be released at that time.
