Jamie And Wojo's New Detroit Sports Show Begins Monday

The countdown is over for fans of celebrated Detroit sports radio personalities Bob Wojnowski and Jamie Samuelsen, who will take over the airwaves at 6 p.m. Monday for their first show on 97.1 The Ticket. Hear it live here.

The show can be heard 6 to 8 p.m. weekdays. It's also carried live online at cbsdetroit.com and on mobile devices you can download free for Android smartphones and iPhones.

What should sports fans expect from the new show? You'll have to listen to find out.

"I enjoy broadcasting, entertaining and occasionally whining, and I am excited about the chance to do it again on a regular basis. In 20-plus years as a Detroit News columnist, and 15 years on Detroit radio, I have deep connections and passions about the teams and the fans," said Wojnowski. "The Ticket is the biggest sports boombox imaginable, and Jamie and I greatly appreciate the opportunity to join the fun."

Wojo has enjoyed a lengthy radio career, previously as one half of the duo 'Stoney and Wojo' which aired on WDFN-AM. Mike Stone, Wojo's former co-host, is also on-air at 97.1 The Ticket. Samuelsen hosted sports talk shows at WDFN-AM for 14 years. He recently was on-air at WCSX-FM as sports director and is a regular sports blogger at the Detroit Free Press.

Samuelsen has covered dozens of major sporting events including the Super Bowl, the World Series, The Stanley Cup Finals, the NBA Finals, the Final Four, the US Open, The Ryder Cup, and the Major League Baseball All-Star Game. Read his bio here.
