Charlie Langton: A Gas Tax To Fix Our Roads?

Michigan's roads are a mess and have been for years. How do you fix them? Where do you find the money? Charlie Langton spoke with Rep. Rick Olson, R-Saline, about a plan to fix Michigan's roads: a gas tax hike. Can Michiganians afford another .09 cents per gallon? Would you be willing to pay more for gas in exchange for much-needed investment in Michigan roads? Would you be willing to pay more for registration fees on top of that? How important are new roads to you?

And was our governor lying about additional federal money coming to Michigan to fix up our roads if we built a new international public bridge? Langton pressed Rep. Olson on this and tries to understand if some of the bridge talk, in relation to rebuilding our roads, has been misleading.

Listen to Olson's interview here.
