Suspect Sought In Canton Credit Union Robbery

CANTON (WWJ) - Police are looking for the public's help to identify a crook caught on camera at a Canton credit union.

Police say that at around 5:54 p.m. on January 18, 2012, the suspect entered the Credit Union Service Center on Sheldon Road, handed the teller a note, implied that he had a weapon and took off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The black male suspect is described as 5'08"- 5'09" tall, 180 pounds, with a medium build, goatee and mustache. He was wearing a black Nike  =hoodie jacket with with dark glasses, black gloves a blue shirt and blue jeans.

Anyone who recognizes the suspect in the surveillance image above or who has any information about this crime is asked to contact the Canton Police Department at (734)394-5400. Crime Stoppers will also take anonymous tips at 1-800-SPEAK UP, or online at www.1800speakup.org. A $1,000 reward is being offered for a tip that leads to an arrest.
