Traffic Alert: Weekend Road Work

DETROIT (WWJ) - Know before you go! Metro Detroit's major highways will be mainly clear of construction this weekend, so you shouldn't have too much trouble getting where you want to go.

The following projects were announced by MDOT. As always, some of this work may be postponed due to weather.

I-94:

In Wayne County, the right lane of eastbound I-94 will be closed over I-275 from 6 a.m. Saturday until 5 a.m. Monday. The ramps from eastbound I-94 to I-275 will be open during this time.

M-15:

In Oakland County, northbound and southbound M-15, between Dixie Highway (US-24 Business Route) and the Oakland/Genesee county line, will have intermittent single lane closures weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and some Saturdays and Sundays during daylight hours until mid-February for soil testing. In two lane sections, flagging operations will be used.

For the latest from the roads, stay with WWJ Newsradio 950 during Traffic and Weather on the 8s, 24-hours a day. Check for recent traffic incidents now by visiting our Traffic Page.
