Detroit Historical Society Presents 313 Trivia

DETROIT (WWJ) - How well do you know your Detroit history? If you think you're pretty good at it, there's a new game in town that you just might like.

It's called 313 Trivia, and it tests your knowledge of all things Detroit.

"Detroit's musical history, there will be some treatment of Motown," said Bob Sadler, Director of Public and External Relations for the Detroit Historical Society . "There will be things about our wonderful Detroit sports teams ... and some general Detroit history and trivia." Sadler added that the contest is a fund raiser for its "Past-Forward" campaign.

"We are raising $20.1 million over a five-year period to do some dramatic enhancements at our two museum venues, which are the Detroit Historical Museum in the Cultural Center and the Dossin Great Lakes Museum on Belle Isle ... as well as some digitization of our collections."

The contest will take place on the first Wednesday of each month from February to April at the Hard Rock Cafe Detroit. The public is invited to team up and vie for a variety of prizes. There is a suggested donation of $10 at the door for participants.
