DETROIT (WWJ) – Two DTE Energy employees were shot at as they made their rounds at Seven Mile and Woodward Ave., on the Detroit’s north side.

Utility spokesman Alejandro Bodipo-Memba detailed what happened at about 3:30 p.m. Monday on Bauman Street.

“Two of our employees had just recently completed a repair of a gas main leak and were waiting for some of their collegues to finish up the job when they were ambushed by a gunman,” he said.

Bodipo-Memba said one employee was only grazed. Both were transported to a local hospital for treatment of what Bodipo-Memba said were not likely life-threatening injuries.

It wasn’t immediatly known if any arrests had been made.
