Visitation Set For Grosse Pointe Park Woman Found Strangled

GROSSE POINTE (WWJ) - Visitation is set for Monday for Jane Bashara, the Grosse Pointe Park woman found strangled to death in her SUV on Detroit's east side last week. As police continue focusing on her husband, relatives are coming to his defense.

Family members for both Jane Bashara and her husband Bob have said he is incapable of killing her and are supporting him. Mr. Bashara's attorney issued a statement on behalf of the family asking for prayers, support and respect of their privacy.

One family friend estimates as many as 500 people, mostly family friends and neighbors, stopped by the Bashara home this past weekend to offer support.

Speaking with WWJ, Grosse Pointe Police Chief David Hiller spoke with WWJ and says they questioned the woman's husband, Bob Bashara, and searched his home Friday night. (More on this here).
