Eli Manning has been difficult to categorize.

He is a Super Bowl-winning quarterback, but hasn’t been classified among the elite players at his position.

Yet, he was a first overall pick in the NFL Draft and doesn’t exactly belong in the category of Brad Johnson or Trent Dilfer as the rare so-called “average” quarterbacks who have hoisted the Lombardi Trophy.
