Charlie Langton: Dominatrix Says Bashara Hosted S&M Parties

A metro Detroit dominatrix known as Lady Geanna told Talk Radio 1270's Charlie Langton she was pursued for her skills by Bob Bashara, the man named as a person of interest in his wife Jane Bashara's strangulation last week.

"I know that Bob had contacted me in October of '10 and wanted me to host, represent and to host at one of his parties," Geanna said. "I declined at the time because I was not available to do that.

"Apparently a few of my clients have been to his parties, and apparently they were pretty wild, whipping, spanking stations, bondage stations, individual stations were put into his basement. It was a big dungeon as you would say. I myself have a dungeon."

She explained Bashara called her a couple of times to run parties at the dungeon under his bar, the Hard Luck Lounge in Detroit, but she only knew him as "Master Bob" and never met him in person. She never saw his alleged dungeon (pictured above), but said she knew that a couple of hundred people attended his frequent parties, where "whippings were free."

The Basharas, married for decades, have a spacious home in old-money Grosse Pointe with two children in college and professional jobs, him as the owner and operator of commercial buildings and her as a marketing executive. Joe Gentz, a man who rented from Bashara, was in the custody of Grosse Pointe police most of the week after he came forward and claimed Bashara paid him $2,000 to kill Jane Bashara in the couple's home.

Bashara's attorney David Griem told WWJ Newsradio Friday he expects Gentz to be charged sometime soon, but he claims the man is an unreliable source and his client is innocent.

Griem said even if Bashara operated a secret sex dungeon, it doesn't make him a wife killer.

"He was one of the main ones (S&M club operators) here in Michigan," Geanna said. " (He) had this bar running for years with the S&M club underneath it. He frequently had parties, as I understand."

Lady Geanna, a Los Angeles native,  visited Langton's show to discuss her lifestyle, saying S&M clubs are legal in Las Vegas. She described herself as a pro who charges $200 an hour.

"You've got to be able to give a whipping or a spanking without leaving permanent welts ... 'They have to go home to their wives,'" Geanna told Langton about the necessary skills of a dominatrix. She said a safety word is always used.

"Basically S&M is misunderstood, it's not just about beating someone or tying them up, it's a lot of fantasy," she explained, adding that it only gets dangerous when "edge play" gets involved. Edge play, she said, involves cutting off oxygen during "play" until "you pass out."

Lady Geanna alleged that Jane Bashara was also involved in parties in the dungeon, though Langton pointed out she had no direct knowledge and was only repeating things told to her by friends and clients.

"She (Jane) was submissive, and was engaged to get the parties going, Bob would dominate her, she would participate in parties at the bar," Lady Geanna said. "She did participate in some of the exercises."

All these allegations about pillars of the community in one of Michigan's toniest communities is almost too much to take in, Langton said.

"The story gets weirder and weirder," Langton said.
