Feds Cut Unemployment Benefits As Michigan Jobless Rate Declines

DETROIT (WWJ/AP) - Nearly 30,000 Michigan residents will be getting their last unemployment checks on February 18th.

Michigan fell below the required rate for a federal extension late last month, meaning the benefits will be phased out over the next several weeks.

Michigan reduced unemployment from 26 to 20 weeks this year.  Find more information online or call 1-866-500-0017.
