TROY — Automation Alley, Michigan’s largest technology business association, announced Friday that 27 new members joined the organization in January.

“We encourage each of these organizations to take steps to get involved,” said Automation Alley executive director Ken Rogers. “Attend a networking session, explore trade mission possibilities, join a committee, or check out our consulting services for second stage companies.  Or simply stop by our Troy headquarters to find out how to make the most of your membership.  Together we will strive to make Southeast Michigan’s technology brand grow and thrive.  We are making a difference — together.”

Additionally, in the month of January, Automation Alley’s Web site,, welcomed 28,677 visitors and 47,448 page views. The top five most viewed pages were Home, Member Directory, Event Calendar, 2012 Impact Conference and 2012 Impact Agenda. Outside the United States, the website was most often viewed by individuals and organizations in India, Canada, Philippines, Belarus and Germany, while regionally, the City of Troy led with 4,672 visits.

Since its founding in 1999, Automation Alley has expanded to include nearly 1,000 businesses, educational institutions and government entities from the City of Detroit and the surrounding eight-county region. Automation Alley promotes regional prosperity through entrepreneurial and exporting assistance, workforce development and technology acceleration.
