Find Answers At The Area Agency On Aging

If you're a senior citizen or someone caring for an older adult, many questions about where to find medical and other services can be answered by your local Area Agency on Aging office.

For example, information and advocacy is available free of charge about Medicare and Medicaid assistance programs from trained staff and volunteers.

D-AAA can also offer guidance on the how-to's of maintaining a healthy lifestyle through wellness and fitness programs, home safety programs and programs like Senior Project FRESH which enables seniors to buy farm-fresh fruits and vegetables.

If you're are a grandparent who's raising or caring for grandchildren the agency has information on support services and your rights as a grandparent.

This month (February), the Detroit Area Agency on Aging also offers a number of events focused on health and legal issues.

Find the Detroit Area Agency on Aging online at this link or call DAAA the agency at (313)446-4444.
