Was the home of former Major League Baseball pitcher Brad Penny burglarized over the weekend?

According to entertainment website TMZ, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s department is investigating after Penny called 911 at around 4 a.m. Saturday, saying he thought he heard an intruder.

When police arrived, they didn’t find anything. But, nevertheless, they are investigating.

Penny played 12 seasons in the majors, including a recent stint with the Detroit Tigers. He just recently signed with the Softbank Hawks in Japan.
