Doug Karsch: My Super Bowl Sunday In Indy Part 1

9:45 a.m.  I've been lying in bed watching Sports Center for an hour. I'm watching all this coverage and thinking it's overkill and repetitive. I guess if the Lions were playing I wouldn't be able to get enough.

12:10 p.m. Game day just did a great piece on introducing the Patriots as a team at the 2001 Super Bowl. Love it. Ever since then all Super Bowl teams have been introduced as a team not individuals.

1:45 p.m. I almost never get to tailgate. An example is I just lost a game of corn hole to a drunken Russian who had never played before.

3:39 p.m. On the bus to the game, we picked up a dude named Benjy and his boys Sam and Charley.  They were stranded. Their ride is stuck at the airport and they weren't going to make it to the game.  They got their tickets after raising $18 million for a foundation to fight Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Check out their website at www.charleysfund.com. This is Sam and Charley's first game ever. Now Benjy is drinking our beer . Don't push it pal.
