Madonna’s upcoming world tour will not include a stop in her native Michigan.

Her 2012 tour will start in Europe in May before coming to North America for 26 shows beginning in August. The closest stops to Detroit are in Chicago, Cleveland and Toronto.

The last time Madonna performed in Michigan was her November 2008 stop at Ford Field along her 85-date “Sticky & Sweet Tour.”

Her new album M.D.N.A. is due out next month, while her tour will wrap up next year in South America and Australia.
