Government Looking Into Toyota Door Fires
WASHINGTON -- (WWJ) The government is looking into fire issues in two of Toyota's most popular products.
There have been six cases of window fires in the driver's side door of 2007 Camry's and RAV-4's. No injuries have been reported.
It appears that the fires all started in the power window switch on the driver's door.
The investigation began on Monday. It's too early to tell if it will result in a recall.
At this point, 830 thousand vehicles are involved.
The Camry, including the Solara coupe, is the best selling car in America. The RAV-4 is also a top selling small SUV.
