Man Charged With 'Entertaining' Himself Outside Jail While Incarcerated Girlfriend Watched

MUSKEGON (CBS Detroit) - In what police believe was an ill-conceived attempt to offer his incarcerated girlfriend a conjugal visit of sorts, a Michigan man was arrested for masturbating in the parking lot of the Muskegon County jail.

He was brightly illuminated by his car's interior light, police said, as his girlfriend and a gal pal peeked from the jail's windows.

Terry Glenn Doxey, 47, of Norton Shores, was arraigned Thursday in Muskegon County 60th District Court on one count of aggravated indecent exposure, a misdemeanor punishable by up to two years in prison.

A judge ordered a $10,000 personal bond, which Doxey posted early Friday. A preliminary examination is slated for 10 a.m. on Feb. 22.

How was he caught?

"Our jail area has cameras outside the cells," explained a captain in the Muskegon City Police Department, adding, "The cells in the women's area have full windows."

Doxey denied the situation when police confronted him in the parking lot, but the captain said there was "irrefutable evidence."

"It's a true story," one Muskegon officer said. "Believe it or not."
