Traffic Alert: Weekend Road Work

DETROIT (WWJ) - Know before you go! Don't let construction activities spoil your weekend plans.

The following projects were announced by MDOT. As always, some of this work may be postponed due to weather.

I-75:

In Oakland County, as a reminder, southbound I-75 will have the right and center lanes closed with traffic shifted to the left to maintain two lanes until Monday, Feb. 20.  In addition, crews will close the westbound 12 Mile Road loop ramp to southbound I-75.

In Oakland County, beginning at 10 a.m. and ending at 3 p.m. Sunday, northbound I-75 will be reduced to a single lane at 12 Mile Road to remove the existing traffic shift. After 3 p.m., three lanes will be open on northbound I-75 at 12 Mile Road with traffic shifted to the right until Saturday Feb 25. In addition, the loop ramp from eastbound 12 Mile Road to northbound I-75 remains closed.

I-275:

In Wayne County, bridge maintenance will require the right lane of northbound and southbound I-275 to be closed over the Middle Rouge starting at 6 a.m. Saturday until 5 a.m. Monday. The Middle Rouge bridge is located betweenAnn Arbor Roadand the I-96/M-14 interchange.

I-696:

In Oakland County, theDequindre Roadentrance ramp to westbound I-696 will be closed from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday for fence repair.

US-24 (Telegraph Road):

In Wayne County, the left lane of northbound Telegraph Road is closed just south of Cherry Hill Road in Dearborn for permit work until mid-March. A permit has been approved to allow for the city to sewer work in the area.
