Carol Cain: Rick Santorum Off The Cuff
Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum wears cowboy boots. Why? "They are the universal shoe," he told WWJ-TV's Carol Cain, laughing.
During a campaign stop in the suddenly powerful battleground state of Michigan, Santorum sat down with Cain for a freewheeling "Michigan Matters" interview that will air at 11 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 19, on WWJ-TV/CBS Detroit.
Santorum talks frankly about issues including his real feelings about rival Mitt Romney and his still-strong opposition to the auto bailouts that many credit with saving the Detroit-based industry.
"GM and Chrysler would not look like they do now (without the bailout)...I can't argue with that," Santorum said. "The stuation would not be the same."
