Ex-WSU Cop Found Guilty On Sex Charge

DETROIT (WWJ) - A former Wayne State University public safety officer has been convicted of first degree criminal sexual conduct for coercing sex from a woman he pulled over on a traffic stop.

Prosecutors claimed that 38-year-old Gregory Gladden stopped the woman early one morning in May. He then drove her in his car to a building where he pressured the 22-year-old for sex.

Gladden was also found guilty of misconduct in office and willful neglect of duty.

He remains jailed awaiting sentencing set for next month.  The charges carry penalties of up to 15 years in prison.
