Hockey Great Ted Lindsay At SportsFest
There is no such thing as the greatest defenseman of all time.
That's according to Red Wings great Ted Lindsay, who stopped by 97.1 The Ticket's SportsFest at the Suburban Showplace to chat for a few minutes with Jeff Riger and Dennis Fithian. Riger asked whether Bobby Orr is the best defenseman of all time.
Lindsay said, "no." How's that?
"Nobody's the greatest, you can't categorize anybody as being the greatest," Lindsay said.
He also praised the Wings' Ted Holland for the team he's put together.
"It's a great hockey team," Lindsay said. "Holland deserves a lot of credit."
