Lincoln Park (CBS Detroit) It may be cold and damp, but that doesn’t mean the food on your plate has to be drab.

Spice up your palate with a trip to the Lincoln Park Winter Market, where it always feels like spring.

The market will be open 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday, March 4 and 18. Customers will find items such as primrose plants, flower arrangements, produce and specialty food items. It’s a great way to get your pantry stocked with all the healthy colors of the rainbow.

The past four winter markets have had a variety of vendors, including farmers Sam Parise and Norris Stephens, specialty food vendors Loni Weems of Native Kitchen, Heather Winter of Winter Delights, Troy Huffaker of DTL Herbs LTD, Bob Beaudette of Kettle Corn of Michigan and crafter Lori Mead of Lincoln Park with handmade jewelry, ceramics and other types of crafts.

Among the specialty food items available will be honey, maple syrup, chutneys, jams, baked goods, dried herbs, rubs and herb mixtures.

The winter markets are being held at the Ikaros Hall, 1677 Fort Street, Lincoln Park. The Ikaros Hall is next to the Park Restaurant at the corner of Fort Street and Arlington, one block north of Southfield Road.
