Doug, the goal counts no question. I played a lot of hockey in my day and have seen a lot of crazy calls by refs. Staal clearly scores the goal and runs out of realestate. The goalie anticipates the collision and I would consider it accidntal contact. Its not like the goalie was blind sided and it was a cheap shot. The puck crosses the line before any contact with the tender is made. Might not be pretty, but its hockey. Great show as always.

Kyle, exactly. The moment a goal is scored, it doesn’t matter, nor should it matter, if the goalie was interfered with after the goal. It’s a goal.

    good goal. he was tripped.

Darren Helm did the same thing in the playoffs against Phoenix last year.
