INDIANAPOLIS — Detroit Lions running back Jahvid Best should be back on the field in training camp after a series of head injuries ended his 2011 season.
Coach Jim Schwartz told media at the Scouting Combine that Best and 2011 first-round pick Mikel Leshoure should be ready to contribute next season. Leshoure suffered a season-ending achilles injury in training camp.
If there is uncertainty with either player, it’s Best, who had two concussions and missed the final 10 games last season.
